Presented by:
Washington
State Hospital Association &
Association
of Washington Public Hospital Districts
- Do you feel up to date in core knowledge and governance skills to
effectively lead your organization?
- Is your Board guiding the development of appropriate services to respond to
your broader community health needs?
- Is your Board able to disagree without being disagreeable?
- Is your Board optimally structured for effective and efficient decision
making?
- Are your Board members clear about the role distinction between them and the
CEO and staff in these fast changing times for health care?
- Does your Board have processes in place to track global and local changes in
healthcare and apply them in planning and decision making?
Clearly the current health care system is unsustainable. Pressures on hospitals
and health systems are growing and Boards are on the front line. Never was it
more imperative for Board members to be informed, engaged and have the
competencies to perform at the highest level! This program will offer the
fundamentals of governance for newer Board members and enable ‘veteran’ Board
members to take their governance work to another level. Effective communication
and decision-making are essential. Serving your broader community health needs
is one among many of the emerging challenges of the next paradigm. Join us!
